Angel Reese delivers again as Dream push Liberty to brink of WNBA playoff elimination

Angel Reese led the Atlanta Dream to a 101-98 overtime victory over the New York Liberty in Game 2 of their WNBA semifinal series, securing a 2-0 series lead. Reese scored 23 points, including six in the extra period, while Jordin Canada also added 23 points and eight assists.

Despite missing leading scorer Allisha Gray due to a left hand injury, Atlanta extended its winning streak to eight games. New York received a 35-point effort from Breanna Stewart and 20 points from rookie Marine Fauthoux, who hit a game-tying three-pointer late in regulation.

However, a crucial late turnover by Sabrina Ionescu helped the Dream preserve their advantage. The Liberty now face elimination as the series shifts for the next matchup.
