'I was never worried about anything' - Vollering converts Dutch dominance into yet more championships succes in Slovenia

Demi Vollering captured the European Championships title on Saturday following a commanding display of teamwork by the Dutch squad in Slovenia. Vollering secured the gold medal while her compatriot Puck Pieterse finished second to claim the silver.

The victors dictated the pace throughout the event, with Lorena Wiebes, Amber Kraak, Riejanne Markus, Karlijn Swinkels, and Femke de Vries sharing heavy workloads at the front of the peloton to neutralise attacks. Pieterse ultimately delivered the final lead-out for Vollering before outsprinting Switzerland competitor Marlen Reusser to complete the podium.
