Caitlin Clark delivered a historic performance to keep the Indiana Fever alive in the postseason, defeating the Las Vegas Aces 99-89 in Game 2. Clark posted twenty-seven points and fifteen assists, making her the first player in league history to reach those specific marks in a playoff matchup.
However, the intense effort drained her completely, leading her to vomit into a trash can during the halftime break once the adrenaline faded.
Reflecting on the elimination-saving victory after being down early, Clark noted that players are only guaranteed another forty minutes on the floor at this stage of the year. The team managed to withstand late runs from their opponents to secure the win and force a decisive Game 3.
Clark even joked about repeating her halftime illness if it helps spark another successful performance in their upcoming road contest.
