'I promised myself': Virat Kohli after 15,000-run landmark

Virat Kohli reached a major career milestone during India's opening match against the West Indies by crossing the threshold of 15,000 runs in one-day internationals. He joined Sachin Tendulkar as the only other player to achieve this feat while simultaneously notching his 55th century in the format.

Fueled by his milestone knock, the Indian squad cruised to an eight-wicket victory. Following the contest, the star batter emphasized that reading match conditions and fulfilling team requirements remains his primary focus.
