Giannis Antetokounmpo posts 9 points, 7 assists in first Heat appearance, rests second half

Giannis Antetokounmpo made his debut in a Miami uniform on Saturday night in Québec City, leading his new squad to a 129-105 preseason victory over the Toronto Raptors. Playing exclusively through the opening two quarters, the star forward recorded nine points, seven assists, and four rebounds in fourteen minutes of action before starters were sidelined for the remainder of the contest.

Antetokounmpo was perfect on all three of his field goal attempts, sank three of four free throws, and contributed early by setting up Andrew Wiggins for a perimeter basket. This matchup represented the first outing of the autumn schedule following his offseason acquisition from Milwaukee alongside Bobby Portis in exchange for Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakučionis, and five future draft selections.
