'I don’t play this game to prove anyone wrong': Samson after India's 1st T20I win

Sanju Samson dismissed the influence of external criticism following his 67-run contribution in India's record-breaking chase against New Zealand. The wicketkeeper-batter emphasized a commitment to his personal preparation and team-first objectives rather than responding to public opinion.

India successfully overhauled a target of 230, securing a four-wicket victory in the opening match of the five-game series. Naman Dhir provided a crucial late-game boost with an unbeaten 42 off 15 balls to seal the result.

Samson credited the team's ongoing success to a consistent, aggressive tactical approach maintained since their T20 World Cup title.
