Florida State, Mike Norvell enter key stretch with coach's future in question, Jimbo Fisher rumors swirling

Florida State enters a crucial portion of its schedule carrying a 2-2 record, with head coach Mike Norvell facing mounting scrutiny amid administrative changes and chatter regarding Jimbo Fisher. The team's only victories have come against Central Arkansas and New Mexico State, while losses to SMU and Alabama have raised questions as the squad prepares to face Virginia as a home underdog, followed by matchups against Louisville and Miami.

Meanwhile, the athletic department is undergoing a leadership transition following the dismissal of athletic director Michael Alford, with board chairman Peter Collins and university president Rick McCullough taking on increased involvement in athletic oversight.
