The Cleveland Browns are preparing to add wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. to their practice squad, reconnecting him with quarterback Shedeur Sanders after the two spent two years together at Colorado.
Horn had been cut from the Carolina Panthers' 53-man roster to make room for linebacker Tyrel Dodson, following Carolina's opening-week defeat against the Chicago Bears. Although Panthers head coach Dave Canales publicly voiced a desire to keep the wideout on their own practice group, Cleveland claimed him instead.
During his 14 career appearances, Horn has tallied 11 catches for 108 yards. He served as Carolina's top return specialist in Week 1, fielding five kickoffs and two punts while also muffing a punt attempt.
In Cleveland, he joins a depth chart behind active options like Isaiah Bond, Malachi Corley, and Tylan Wallace, while Sanders continues to operate as a backup to starter Deshaun Watson.
