“Ashamed of Yourself”: Dabo Swinney Blasts Gesture That Demanded Mike Norvell Firing Despite Handing FSU Another Loss

Following a 36-24 victory over Florida State, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney criticized a flyover banner that called for the termination of Mike Norvell and Peter Collins. Swinney expressed his disapproval of the stunt, noting that the message contained a misspelling of the head coach's name and characterizing the act as disrespectful to the individuals involved.

He defended Norvell as a quality coach and a person who should not be subjected to such personal attacks during a difficult season. The loss dropped Florida State to a 3-5 record, continuing a downward trend for a program that has struggled significantly since its 13-1 campaign in 2023.
