Yuvraj Singh reveals how Sourav Ganguly offered him Delhi Capitals coaching job

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has taken on his first coaching assignment by joining the Delhi Capitals as a batting and assistant coach. He will reunite with Sourav Ganguly, who serves as the head coach for the upcoming IPL 2027 season.

When offered the position by his former captain, Yuvraj joked that he had already been performing the role of Ganguly's assistant for the past quarter-century. Yuvraj expressed enthusiasm for his new responsibilities, having spent the last three to four years preparing to manage an entire team environment after previously working mainly with individuals.

Reflecting on their playing days, Yuvraj credited Ganguly with teaching him how to foster a strong dressing-room culture and build collective belief. The duo now aims to secure a playoff berth and ultimately capture the franchise's maiden IPL title by instilling the right confidence and fighting spirit within a talented squad.
