Sunrisers Hyderabad has reacquired left-arm pacer **T Natarajan** for the upcoming IPL season, marking his return to the franchise after a brief stint with Delhi Capitals. Natarajan, who previously played for SRH from 2020 to 2024, will join the team for ₹5 crore—a significant reduction from the ₹10.75 crore Delhi Capitals paid for him in the 2025 auction.
His first season with the Capitals was cut short due to a fractured collarbone, limiting him to just two matches, while his second season saw him take five wickets in ten appearances at an economy rate of 11.18. Despite the pay cut, Natarajan’s experience as a specialist death bowler, particularly his standout 2024 season with 19 wickets at an economy of 9.06, makes his return a strategic move for SRH’s bowling attack.
As part of the trade, leg-spinner **Zeeshan Ansari** will join Delhi Capitals for ₹40 lakh, the same fee he earned with Sunrisers Hyderabad this season. Ansari made an impressive debut for SRH in 2025, claiming three wickets in his first match, including key scalps like Faf du Plessis and KL Rahul.
However, his overall season was less impactful, with just six wickets in ten matches. His domestic performances, including 24 wickets for Meerut Mavericks in the UP T20 League and a strong Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign, suggest potential for growth in the IPL.
The trade reflects Delhi Capitals’ focus on bolstering their spin options ahead of the 2027 season.
