You’re Nuts: What should concern Ohio State most about Indiana?

October 13, 2026

Ohio State faces its toughest test of the season when it travels to Bloomington to take on Indiana, a rematch of last December’s Big Ten Championship Game that ended in a 13–10 Hoosiers victory. Curt Cignetti’s team, which went on to win the national title, enters this clash as the only unbeaten program in the top five, while the Buckeyes seek to end Indiana’s 21-game winning streak after Nebraska nearly upset them last week.

The stakes are high, with both squads featuring returning stars like Jeremiah Smith, Julian Sayin, Charlie Becker, and Stephen Daley, alongside new additions from the transfer portal and recruiting classes.

For Ohio State, Indiana’s receiving corps poses the most significant threat. Charlie Becker, a 6-foot-4 target for quarterback Josh Hoover, has emerged as a dominant force, averaging over 17 yards per catch and already recording eight touchdowns this season.

His performance in the championship game—where he hauled in six catches for 126 yards—was pivotal, and he’s only improved since. Adding to the pressure is Nick Marsh, a transfer from Michigan State who has become a reliable playmaker, including a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown runs in Indiana’s narrow win over Nebraska.

With Ohio State’s secondary showing vulnerabilities late in recent games, the Hoosiers’ passing attack could prove decisive once again.
