Yankees-Orioles regular-season finale claimed by nor'easter, leaving teams at 161 games in 2026

Severe weather caused the cancellation of the 2026 regular-season finale between the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, September 27. Because the matchup lacked playoff implications and the Yankees were scheduled to open their postseason campaign on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox, the fixture will not be made up, leaving both squads with a 161-game schedule.

The Yankees concluded their campaign with a 93-68 record, whereas the Orioles finished at 79-82. Supporters holding tickets for the rained-out contest at Yankee Stadium are permitted to exchange them for future regular-season fixtures.
