Yankees get one-hit in brutal Game 1 ALDS loss to Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays secured a narrow 1-0 victory over the New York Yankees in the opening game of their American League Division Series. Drew Rasmussen baffled the visiting lineup for the majority of the night, holding them hitless until late in the eighth inning when Austin Wells ended the no-hit bid with a line drive to right field.

Wells was subsequently thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a triple, sealing the shutout result in front of a capacity crowd.
