WVU’s Defensive Nightmare Gets Worse as Brutal Zac Alley Stat Emerges

West Virginia is facing intense scrutiny following a 41-24 home defeat to Oklahoma State after allowing 609 total yards. Defensive coordinator Zac Alley is under fire due to a glaring trend where his unit collapses in the second half, surrendering 72 of its 99 total points allowed after intermission under head coach Rich Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, opposing quarterback Drew Mestemaker carved up the defense with 389 passing yards and three touchdowns, erasing a 24-21 lead late in the third quarter.
