Under the guidance of newly appointed manager Luke Williams, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians franchise has opted to part ways with six athletes ahead of the upcoming Women's Premier League mini auction. The cuts follow a challenging campaign in which the two-time champions failed to reach the playoff stage for the first time in the tournament's history, struggling with consistency throughout the run.
Among those released from the roster are G. Kamalini and Saika Ishaque.
The upcoming auction is tentatively planned to take place in Kochi on October 28.
