World Series 2026: Brewers are left to grapple with only their second loss of the playoffs after 12th-inning unraveling in Game 4

The Milwaukee Brewers experienced only their second playoff defeat in a thrilling Game 4 of the 2026 World Series, falling 4-3 in the twelfth inning to the Tampa Bay Rays. Rookie shortstop Cooper Pratt had briefly given Milwaukee the lead with a solo home run in the top of the twelfth frame, but Tampa Bay rallied against relief pitcher Shane Drohan to secure the walk-off victory.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy and relief pitcher Aaron Ashby acknowledged the difficulty of the setback as the series shifts to Game 5.
