Wolves hit back to beat Bristol City after late Neave double

Substitute Sean Neave turned the tide in the closing stages as Wolves rallied from a 1-0 deficit to win 2-1 at Ashton Gate. Bristol City had taken the lead in the 34th minute when Scott Twine converted a free‑kick after being fouled, beating goalkeeper Jose Sa with a curling shot.

Wolves increased pressure after the break and earned a chance when Kieran Trippier delivered a right‑footed cross that was saved by Adam Armstrong, allowing Neave to tap in the rebound in the 82nd minute. Six minutes later Neave added a second, nodding home from close range after Ladislav Krejci headed a Trippier free‑kick across the goal.

The victory moved Wolves up to second place in the Sky Bet Championship, while Bristol City’s manager Michael Skubala lamented the late reversal.
