Wisconsin secured an incredible comeback victory on September 26, erasing a 17-point deficit to defeat thirteenth-ranked Penn State 24-20 during their Big Ten opener. Quarterback Colton Joseph bounced back from three interceptions by throwing a game-winning 72-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jacob Harris with just over a minute remaining in regulation.
Darrion Dupree led the ground attack with 52 rushing yards after taking over for Abu Sama, who exited the contest in the second quarter due to an upper-body injury. Despite early defensive struggles on third downs and costly turnovers that included a pick-six by Josiah Zayas, the Badgers outgained their opponents 365 yards to 245 to seal the dramatic win.
