Wild stat emerges after Syracuse Orange’s upset over SMU

Syracuse secured a 30-27 victory over the 19th-ranked SMU Mustangs this past Saturday, moving their season record to 4-4. Quarterback Steve Angeli paced the offense with 200 passing yards, one passing touchdown, and a rushing score, while running backs Ahmad Miller and Tylik Hill combined for 110 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Umari Hatcher, Daunte Bacheyie, and Noah Meyers contributed to the receiving effort, with Meyers hauling in one of the team's scoring grabs. Following the win, the Orange prepare to host Clemson on November 7.

A notable trend accompanied the result, as football analyst Brett McMurphy highlighted that Syracuse remains undefeated in games where the Otto the Orange mascot appears on their helmets.
