Why Salisbury are 'bigger than many Premier League teams' in Kuwait

Salisbury secured a two-nil triumph over Folkestone Invicta before embarking on a five-day journey to the Middle East. The roster will square off against Al Qadsia, a prominent squad in Kuwait, prior to returning for an FA Cup third qualifying round fixture against Dulwich Hamlet.

The international venture is tied to club owner Ali Alhamad, who acquired the outfit in 2025 to pursue commercial expansion. Player Luke Russe noted the unique cultural immersion for the youthful squad, which includes community visits and local dining, supported by several regional sponsors and a growing social media following overseas.
