Why penalty for Williamson handball was correct call

Following a controversial penalty decision involving a handball, Arsenal assistant coach Aaron D'Antino addressed the media and noted that the squad will treat the episode as a learning opportunity regarding how they restart play. The incident occurred because the ball was still in motion while being shifted to Leah Williamson for a standard goal-kick.

Meanwhile, former defender Jen Beattie strongly criticized match official Iuliana Demetrescu over the ruling during broadcast coverage, arguing that the referee completely misread Williamson's clear intention to take the kick rather than panic under pressure.
