Why is Dylan Stewart suspended? When South Carolina star will return

South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart has been suspended indefinitely by head coach Shane Beamer following multiple viral infractions during a 49-18 loss to Alabama in Week 4, including a punch to the helmet of tight end Josh Ford. Beamer stated that he alone will determine when the former five-star recruit and projected first-round draft pick is reinstated, emphasizing that the player must first meet program standards both on and off the field.

In addition to the indefinite team discipline, the SEC and the university jointly issued a one-game suspension for the incident, leaving the Gamecocks without a key defensive contributor as they prepare to face Kentucky.
