Who wins each Wild Card Series? MLB.com experts weigh in

The postseason has officially opened with analysts weighing in on the matchups for the Wild Card Series. Among the American League pairings, the Astros are favored against the White Sox due to their extensive playoff pedigree and a lineup featuring Yordan Alvarez and Jose Altuve, despite Chicago boasting surging hitters like Munetaka Murakami and Miguel Vargas.

In the other American League matchup, the Yankees hold an edge over the Red Sox largely because of their formidable starting rotation, which includes Cam Schlittler, Max Fried, and Gerrit Cole. Meanwhile, New York awaits the availability of star slugger Aaron Judge as the rivals prepare to square off.
