The SEC’s most anticipated clash of the season looms as No. 2 Georgia travels to No.
7 Alabama on October 10, with ESPN’s *College GameDay* set to broadcast the showdown from Tuscaloosa. The two powerhouse programs lead the nation in scoring, averaging over 50 points per game combined, promising a high-scoring battle between top-tier offenses.
The last time *GameDay* visited Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium was in Week 6 of 2023, when the Crimson Tide defeated Vanderbilt 30–14, with comedian Theo Von serving as the guest picker. With the show returning for another Alabama matchup, speculation swirls over who ESPN might select this time—potential candidates range from NFL stars with SEC ties to former Crimson Tide athletes and even wrestling personalities.
Bryce Young, the NFL’s leading passer and Alabama’s former Heisman-winning quarterback, could reunite with coach Nick Saban on the show during his bye week. Other options include WWE wrestler Oba Femi, a former Alabama shot put champion, or Julio Jones, the Falcons legend and Alabama’s all-time receiving leader, who remains closely connected to both programs.
Miss Terry, Saban’s wife and a fan-favorite, also stands out as a possible return guest, especially with the release of the Saban documentary this week. Meanwhile, actor Channing Tatum, an Alabama fan from Cullman, could add a unique angle, given his college football background and Saban’s West Virginia roots.
