Oregon starting quarterback Dante Moore suffered a serious head injury during a game against Southern California after taking a late blow while sliding in the second quarter. He remained motionless on the field for several minutes before being loaded onto a cart, transferred to an ambulance, and taken away from the venue.
Following the departure of their leader, the Ducks turned to reserve signal-caller Dylan Raiola to finish the drive. Raiola successfully capped off the sequence by delivering a three-yard touchdown pass to receiver Evan Stewart.
Raiola arrived in Eugene during the offseason after previously playing two seasons for Nebraska, where he initially committed out of high school. As a true freshman in 2024, he accumulated 2,819 passing yards and 13 touchdowns against 11 interceptions while helping lead the Cornhuskers to seven wins and a Pinstripe Bowl victory.
His sophomore campaign was cut short on November 1, 2025, after he sustained a broken fibula in a matchup against the Trojans. Rated as a five-star prospect coming out of high school in Buford, Georgia, the young quarterback is the son of former Nebraska and Detroit Lions standout offensive lineman Dominic Raiola.
