Where the playoff races stand tonight

With just three days left in the regular season, ten franchises have already locked down their postseason tickets, including recent additions like the White Sox, Cubs, Guardians, and Padres. The opening round begins with best-of-three Wild Card Series starting September 29, followed by the best-of-five Division Series on October 3.

Several divisional races and seedings remain intensely contested, such as the deadlock in the American League West and tight margins in the American League Central and National League Wild Card standings.
