Where did Joel Klatt place Notre Dame among his 2026 elite teams?

Fox broadcaster Joel Klatt evaluated the landscape of college football this week, releasing a top-ten ballot that places Notre Dame at the fifth position. The analyst based his current assessment partly on a dominant forty-nine to ten victory secured against Purdue over the weekend.

Ahead of the Fighting Irish in his personal rankings are Georgia, Texas, Ohio State, and Miami.

Looking forward to the upcoming schedule, the four and zero squad prepares for an away fixture against North Carolina this coming Saturday. Klatt acknowledged that his faith in the program stems equally from the strong culture established by head coach Marcus Freeman as it does from their on-field performances.
