What's wrong with Drake Maye? Patriots QB's struggles continue vs Jaguars

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is facing mounting questions after a difficult start to the 2026 NFL campaign. Following a stellar performance last year that saw him finish as an MVP runner-up and lead a Super Bowl run, the young signal-caller has faltered through the initial three weeks of the current season.

The struggles culminated in a Week 3 defeat against the Jacksonville Jaguars. During the matchup, Maye managed 199 yards on 14 completions from 25 passing attempts, but committed three costly turnovers, including a dropped-ball fumble and an ill-advised interception inside the opponent's end zone.
