The New England Patriots have placed wide receiver Romeo Doubs on injured reserve following a shoulder injury sustained during his two-snap appearance against the New York Jets. Doubs, who leads the team with 261 receiving yards and three touchdowns, will miss at least the next four games, including matchups against the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions.
This roster move halts the developing chemistry between Doubs and quarterback Drake Maye. The team recently activated A.J.
Brown from injured reserve, but the receiving corps remains thin as Mack Hollins also remains sidelined with a calf injury. New England may rely on tight end Eli Raridon to provide additional support while managing their limited active receiver depth.
