The Las Vegas Raiders have moved on from former Giants draft pick Evan Neal, releasing him from their practice squad after a brief stint. Neal, the seventh overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, had struggled with injuries during his time with New York, appearing in just 29 games over three seasons.
Despite a fresh opportunity under new head coach John Harbaugh, Neal failed to secure a roster spot this offseason and never played a game for the Raiders since joining their practice squad in early September. The Raiders also cut former Giants tight end Chris Myarick, while adding offensive lineman Darian Kinnard, who previously spent time on the Giants’ practice squad earlier this year.
Meanwhile, the Giants held workouts for two defensive linemen, Taki Taimani—a veteran waived by Minnesota—and undrafted rookie Jamheer Carter, who briefly appeared on the Chargers’ practice squad before being released.
