What Ohio State Must Do Offensively to Take Down Iowa

Heading into a tough hostile environment against the top-ranked scoring defense in the country, Ohio State prepares for a critical road matchup where offensive success will depend heavily on converting third downs and maintaining balance. Coordinator Arthur Smith highlighted the necessity of moving the chains against a disciplined opponent known for draining the clock and limiting total opportunities.

Running back Ja'Kobi Jackson will be tasked with sparking the ground attack to bypass a formidable secondary.

Head coach Ryan Day emphasized that his squad must maintain focus and execute from the opening whistle through the final buzzer, avoiding any lapses similar to those seen in past high-pressure contests. The Buckeyes previously struggled with third-down conversions earlier in the year before rebounding against Illinois, and sustaining that level of efficiency remains vital.

Traveling to face the Hawkeyes marks a major test for the program as they attempt to secure a statement victory on enemy turf.
