What happened in the last all-Spanish Masters 1000 final ahead of Rafael Jodar vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina

Rafael Jodar and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina are set to meet in the 2026 Shanghai Masters final, marking the first all-Spanish Masters 1000 championship since 2017. That previous encounter took place in Monte Carlo, where Rafael Nadal faced Albert Ramos-Vinolas in a match that ended in a decisive 6-1, 6-3 victory for the former.

Nadal secured his record-extending 10th title at the event without conceding a single break point, while Ramos-Vinolas, making his Masters 1000 final debut, had previously defeated Andy Murray and Marin Cilic. The statistical disparity was stark, with Nadal converting four of 11 break points and winning 58 total points compared to Ramos-Vinolas's 35, while also posting a 76% first-serve percentage against his opponent's 56%.
