The Georgia Bulldogs hosted the Oklahoma Sooners at Sanford Stadium on September 26, 2026. In an unusual matchup, Georgia dominated the opening half to build a commanding lead, sparked by early scoring drives and defensive plays including a fumble recovery and Chris Cole's touchdown.

Quarterback Gunner Stockton finished with 171 passing yards, completing 14 of 25 attempts for one score and one interception. Meanwhile, Oklahoma signal-caller Mateer recorded 231 yards on 25 completions from 34 passes, throwing two touchdowns alongside one interception while losing two fumbles.

After a scoreless initial half for the visitors, head coach Brent Venables inspired a resilient second-half response from the Sooners defense, limiting the Bulldogs to just 13 points after the break as Stockton added only 68 yards and an interception.
