Vikings WR Justin Jefferson reportedly could play in Week 4 despite spraining ankle against Buccaneers

September 27, 2026

Minnesota wide receiver Justin Jefferson avoided severe damage to his ankle during Sunday's victory against Tampa Bay and might suit up for Week 4. Medical evaluations following the team's twenty-three to sixteen triumph confirmed a sprain without further complications, keeping open the possibility of a return against Miami.

Jefferson exited early in the contest after absorbing a heavy tackle on his second catch, eventually being shut down for the afternoon by the coaching staff. Prior to his departure, quarterback Kyler Murray connected with him twice to jump-start the offensive attack.

Murray later found Jordan Addison for a long touchdown as the squad improved its record to three and zero.
