A viral mix-up at U.S. Bank Stadium briefly sent Minnesota Vikings fans into a frenzy after a large “Hill 10” graphic appeared outside the venue.
Many assumed the team was teasing the arrival of free-agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who has been searching for a new home since his release by the Dolphins earlier this year. However, the stadium clarified the display was meant to honor Byren Hill, a 10-year employee, not the NFL star.
Hill himself weighed in on social media, congratulating his mistaken namesake with a playful post. The confusion comes as Hill, a three-time Super Bowl champion and eight-time Pro Bowler, remains unsigned amid ongoing legal battles with his estranged wife, who has accused him of abuse in a civil trial.
His agent previously suggested a deal could be finalized quickly, but more than a week later, no team has been announced as his new home.
