Vikings Make Several Roster Moves Ahead of Buccaneers Game

The Minnesota Vikings adjusted their roster before their upcoming matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by promoting punter Johnny Hekker to the main active group. Hekker takes over punting and holding responsibilities because Brett Thorson is sidelined with a hamstring injury.

To clear a spot, offensive lineman Nick Samac was placed on injured reserve and will be forced to sit out the upcoming four contests.

In addition, the squad elevated outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy and safety Tavierre Thomas from the practice squad for the upcoming game. Meanwhile, linebacker Ivan Pace stayed behind due to a personal matter, leaving his status questionable and potentially creating a chance for rookie Jake Golday to step in.
