USC prize portal WR Terrell Anderson to undergo season-ending surgery

USC’s highly anticipated transfer portal addition, wide receiver **Terrell Anderson**, will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery. The Trojans’ No.

10-ranked transfer prospect entered the portal after two seasons at NC State, where he emerged as a standout in 2025 with 39 receptions for 629 yards and five touchdowns. Despite expectations of a breakout role in Los Angeles—particularly with quarterback Jayden Maiava—Anderson’s season has been derailed by injury, appearing in just three games and logging only two catches for 50 yards before his surgery announcement.

The setback compounds USC’s receiver woes, as other key playmakers have also dealt with injuries. Freshman wideout **Trent Mosley**, who started strong with 255 yards and four touchdowns in his first three games, is now sidelined after suffering a knee injury.

Tight end **Mark Bowman**, a top-40 recruit in the 2026 class, has also missed time, including the recent game against Washington, after accumulating 21 catches for 204 yards and two touchdowns through four appearances. With Anderson out and others questionable, USC’s passing game faces an uphill battle moving forward.
