Florida A&M coach pulls QB from TV interview, issues apology to reporter

Florida A&M head coach John Leuzzi made headlines after abruptly removing his quarterback from a live television interview, later issuing a formal apology to the reporter involved. The incident occurred amid a busy week for HBCU football, as Hurricane Isaias forced adjustments to multiple games, including the postponement of Florida A&M’s matchup with Alabama State to Friday.

The storm also prompted ESPN’s *College GameDay* to relocate its broadcast from the Tuscaloosa quad to Coleman Coliseum, the Crimson Tide’s basketball arena, ahead of the highly anticipated Georgia-Alabama showdown. Several other Week 6 matchups in the Carolinas were rescheduled to begin earlier than planned due to the storm’s impact, though forecasts suggested the Georgia-Alabama game could still proceed as scheduled by kickoff time.
