During a pivotal Ryder Cup Sunday, U.S. assistant captain Keegan Bradley reportedly clashed with rules official Jeff Kiddie in a heated exchange over two holes.
According to PGA professional Chandler Withington, Bradley confronted Kiddie three times, expressing frustration over delays during a critical match between Cameron Young and Justin Rose. The dispute stemmed from a contentious drop on the par-3 14th hole, where Rose’s second shot landed near the cart path, sparking prolonged debate among officials.
Bradley’s anger escalated after his ball rolled to an unfavorable position, requiring a second drop under the rules of play. Despite the U.S.
securing a hard-fought point on the 18th—Young’s 308-yard drive and clutch putt sealed a 1-up victory—Europe ultimately held on to win the Ryder Cup 15–13 after trailing 11.5–4.5 in singles. Kiddie, a PGA Rules Committee member and 2023 recipient of the PGA of America’s highest honor for golf professionals, has not publicly addressed the allegations.
