UFC Edmonton video: Chelsea Chandler upsets Melissa Croden with nasty kimura

A late-night upset in Edmonton saw rising bantamweight Chelsea Chandler (record not specified) shock Melissa Croden (8-3) with a decisive kimura submission during UFC Edmonton on Saturday. The victory marked Chandler’s first professional win over a contender, as Croden—returning from a recent layoff—entered the bout as the favorite despite the near-even odds.

The fight took place on the prelims of the main card, which featured a welterweight clash between Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott headlining the event at Rogers Place. Earlier in the evening, Su Young You also extended his Octagon record to 4-1 with a third-round kimura submission over Cody Chovancek, adding to the night’s submission-heavy action.

UFC Edmonton aired live on Paramount+, marking the promotion’s return to Alberta’s capital city for another high-profile fight night.
