UFC 334 loses lightweight bout after double withdrawal

The UFC’s upcoming event in New York City, UFC 334, has lost its scheduled lightweight bout after both fighters withdrew due to injuries. Jefferson Nascimento and Nazim Sadykhov, who were set to face off at the Madison Square Garden showdown, have both pulled out of the card, leaving the promotion scrambling to adjust its lineup.

This marks the second consecutive fighter withdrawal for the event, following Nascimento’s earlier injury setback. The incident underscores the ongoing challenges of fighter availability and the physical toll of MMA competition, particularly as the UFC continues to expand its global footprint with high-profile events like this one in New York.

With no immediate replacements announced, the lightweight matchup remains in limbo as the organization works to finalize its roster for December.
