UConn Athletic Director Responds to Bombshell Report About Conference Change

UConn athletic leader David Benedict has pushed back against circulating rumors regarding potential conference realignment involving the football program. According to recent reports, the Huskies may be seeking a football-only affiliation to secure financial backing and assist with Name, Image, and Likeness programs, while Miami of Ohio and James Madison are reportedly eyeing full membership.

Benedict stated that he was never approached regarding the initial publication and remains unaware of the discussions. Meanwhile, the UConn football squad prepares for an upcoming away fixture against Miami of Ohio scheduled for Saturday afternoon, following a recent victory over Southern Miss.
