Travis Kelce suffered a concerning right ankle roll during a tackle on Kansas City’s opening drive against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6, forcing him to limp off the field after a minimal-gain screen pass. Though he received immediate sideline taping and briefly exited the game, Kelce returned before the Chiefs’ second possession, though his mobility appeared noticeably affected.
The injury came on a drive that stalled at the red zone, ending with a 44-yard field goal by Harrison Butker after Noah Gray’s 16-yard catch fell short on third down. Kelce’s ankle was later reinforced midway through the first quarter, but he remained active for the remainder of the opening frame despite visible frustration on the sideline.
