Following his recent legal troubles stemming from a July arrest and subsequent OWI conviction in Wisconsin, Tony Romo and CBS Sports have officially decided to part ways. The former quarterback, who had spent nine years in the broadcast booth alongside Jim Nantz, entered a no-contest plea and faced penalties including fines, suspended driving privileges, and mandatory vehicle ignition equipment.
In the wake of his departure, J.J. Watt will remain in the role as color commentator for the top broadcasting crew throughout the rest of the campaign.
Romo expressed gratitude for his tenure while noting that he intends to dedicate this period to his personal well-being and family.
