Three reasons why the Brewers can repeat as World Series champions in 2027

Following their historic World Series victory to cap off a remarkable 103-win campaign, the Milwaukee franchise is already looking toward a title defense in 2027. Despite a strong foundation that could allow the team to repeat as champions, front office decisions loom regarding several impending free agents and option decisions.

Players facing uncertain futures with the organization include Brandon Woodruff, Jake Bauers, JoJo Romero, Gary Sánchez, Dustin May, and Antonio Senzatela. Among them, Bauers stands out after contributing 26 home runs and a 3.3 WAR across 144 contests in 2026.

Additionally, management faces a choice regarding catcher and reigning World Series MVP William Contreras as he approaches the final year of his contract. Even with Bo Naylor also on the roster, the club is urged to keep their star linchpin rather than execute a trade.
