Kimi Antonelli and Valtteri Bottas skip Mexico GP F1 media duties with illness

Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli has been granted an exemption from Thursday media obligations at the Mexico City Grand Prix due to a viral infection. The championship leader, who requires only two points this weekend to secure the 2026 title, is expected to be back on track for Friday practice sessions.

Valtteri Bottas will also miss his scheduled media appearances for the Cadillac team as he recovers from an unspecified illness. His team confirmed this absence is a precautionary step and does not currently impact his status for the upcoming race.
