The Way the World Ends: Braves 6, Phillies 2

The Atlanta Braves eliminated the Philadelphia Phillies from the 2026 MLB Playoffs with a 6-2 victory in the third game of their Wild Card series. Starting pitcher Aaron Nola struggled early, walking multiple batters and surrendering a three-run home run to Michael Harris in the opening frame before being pulled in the second.

Atlanta reliever Grant Holmes and opener Ray Kerr kept Philadelphia scoreless through the middle frames, while Ozzie Albies extended the lead with a home run off Zack Wheeler. Despite baserunners from Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, and others, the visiting offense failed to mount a significant comeback as their postseason run came to an end.
