The Canucks Have Officially Taken Sole-Possession Of The League Lead In This Unfortunate Stat

The Vancouver Canucks have struggled defensively early in the 2026-27 campaign, surrendering a league-high three hat-tricks through their opening stretch. This unwanted milestone was solidified during a 3-2 overtime defeat to the Florida Panthers, where Brady Tkachuk netted three consecutive goals.

Vancouver previously allowed hat-tricks to Evan Bouchard during an overtime victory against Edmonton and to Logan Stankoven in a 7-2 loss to Carolina. By allowing this third instance, the Canucks surpassed the New York Islanders, who have conceded two hat-tricks this season.
