Texas Tech’s Austin Romaine makes lightning strike twice against Sam Houston

During the fourth week of college football action, Texas Tech linebacker Austin Romaine authored a rare feat by intercepting two consecutive passes and returning both for touchdowns against Sam Houston. Opposing signal-callers Landyn Locke and Brett Holloway each fell victim to Romaine on back-to-back defensive drives, helping the Red Raiders build a commanding 21-0 lead.

Although Sam Houston managed to narrow the gap before halftime, Texas Tech ultimately secured the victory to build on their 3-0 start to the 2026 campaign.
